Accra

I have no idea how many of you are reading these blogs. Make me feel like it's worthwhile to write them by commenting now and then. It is unecessary for you to say something witty or memorable. It is even unecessary for you to use your real names; just let me know they aren't falling into some bottomless technological pit. Also, let me know if you want a different focus; I'm not writing them for my own well being.

people are reading - please have faith! But please include you in them, your own wellbeing also; after all it is YOU who sees, experiences and chooses wht you write. When you do not write how it is for you, we feel that something is missing; and fill in the gaps withour own imagination. HOnesty works. If this is hard, say so. Hero is not somebody who is not afraid, he is the one who does what he thinks is the right thing to do, and does it anyway in the middst of all fear, doubt etc. You are real at this point wondering if anybody even reads it. Now this starts to be interesting...more of that process in you, please. I SO respect all you guys!

I am reading often, and find what you write rolling around in my mind for hours. It is hard to know how to respond to all I read -- especially since I want to respond. I also wonder at times if you are encouraged about the treatments of AIDS or discouraged. You donot prognosticate about the future -- which is probably wise since you are no prophet. But my heart goes out to these people and I wonder if it will ever get better.
I know many people have been on your site poking around. So don't give up. It is wonderful. I am afraid for where you go next. Are you sure of how to proceed after BEnin and Togo. It sounds really dicey. love

brother-yes we read and marvel at all you are doing. i hear a Cholera epidemic is spreading from Senegal, to Guineau Bissau on eastward so be careful of the water. i like your stories of the daily sights and sounds.

Nathan,
you guys are doing a great job! Please don't think that you are writing for nothing. there are tons of people here who love and respect what you are doing. I personally wake up in the morning and check out your site to see what you have written and also before I go to bed! I love reading your work as well as Sean And Tuuli's. You are all so brave to to be doing what you are doing. and it's so incredible that you have this site because it gives us a glimpse of what you are doing and and makes us the reader feel like we are there with you! Stay safe!

It was nice to talk to you on the phone the other day and hear the crazy streets in the background.

Have a good day and take good care of Sean and Tuuli.

Cheers,
Casey
